Have You Seen and Have You Heard “But God has revealed them to us through
His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all
the things, yes, the deep things of God." I Corinthians 2:10
Read in PDF
While
crying out to the Lord concerning the body of the Messiah one night, my heart became overwhelmed pondering
the countless number of men and women of the past and of the present that just “want God”; those who sincerely
desire Truth and the deep things of God. I mourned at the thought of the stagnant water or the “doctrine of men”
(Ephesians 4:14)
going forth in the earth realm, erroneous teachings that are approved by men, and not by God, that endeavor to hinder many
from hearing and seeing God (Matthew
23:13; Luke 10:23-24). But in the
middle of my weeping, the Spirit of the Lord spoke plainly, saying “But
if they seek Me, they will find Me.” Well needless to say, my crying ceased
as I began to reflect on the Word that I’d just heard from the LORD. It is written in I Corinthians 2:9:
“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither has it entered into the heart of man the things which
God has prepared for those who love Him.” (I Corinthians 2:9 from Is. 64:4; 65:17)
Throughout many years and generations, the masses have heard the latter scripture quoted and preached an
innumerable amount of times. But what is written in the next verse, I Corinthians 2:10, clarifies what the Apostle Paul is
actually teaching us.
“But it was to us that God revealed these things by His Spirit. For His Spirit searches out everything and shows
us God’s deep secrets.”
See,
God has revealed those things to us through and
by His Spirit! Those of us sealed by the Spirit of God have the privilege of knowing Truth, the deep things of God! In
my mourning, the Lord comforted me with what He had already revealed in His Word. Jesus spoke these words in Luke 11:9
& Matthew 7:7:
“Ask and it shall be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will opened unto you.”
Finding and knowing the Truth of God by seeking
Him is not or should not be a mystery to the Saints of
God because we have the Spirit of Truth Who guides us into All Truth (John 16:13-14). Moreover, Jesus assured us in John 16:15
that all things that the Father has is His and that the Holy Spirit will
declare them to us!
Within the Body of the Messiah many are seeking after position;
many seek after fame, eminence or recognition; many seek after the approval of man, and many others are seeking after wealth.
And for those seeking those things…they have their reward. But sadly, this too, is according to the Word of God. II
Timothy 4:3 says:
“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according
to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers…”
So in essence,
the Spirit of the Lord confirmed in me that I need not fret over what appears to be a hindrance today. For those who seek
Him, who earnestly seek Him; He will not hide
from them. He will keep His promise when saying
“They Will Find Me."
So I ask:
Have you seen and Have you heard? Seek The Lord…And You Will!
I Chronicles 28:9-
If you seek Him, He will be found by you; II Chronicles 19:3-
Set your heart on seeking the Lord; Amos 5:4- Seek
ME and live; Jeremiah 29:13- You will seek me and find
me when you seek me with All of your heart
